Help pay for new Lift chair.

;I am a Viet Nam Era Veteran; EX=School teacher; Retired Minister; in need of help from my friends. It is the last thing I want to do but I am left with no alternative. My electric lift chair of 8 years has broken down and the manufactures have stated it would be cheaper to replace than to repair.
I have a hard time getting up from my sofa without family here to help me because of my present disabilities. The Lift chair is my only place to sit and be able to get up without the help of others. I am due to have shoulder surgery in the near future and will not even be able to get down onto the sofa without help. I am unable to get a loan because of my financial status. I do not have anyone to cosign with me as I have just moved back to Charleston, IL which is my home town, in the last 3 months. This Lift chair allows me to live a more independent lifestyle than I would be able to have without it. The Doctor has prescribed it for my own Independence
The VA does not furnish lift chairs. Medicare will only pay $250 after the purchase is comeplete.
