Help pay for King's treatment

My sweet friend Kirstin ran for her life during the Route 91 shooting in Las Vegas in 2017. After that shocking event life changed for her and she became fearful and anxious. With her family they decided to get a dog who she would feel safe with and who could help her feel confident outside again.  They got King, a German Shepherd and she has doted on him since, he’s truly her emotional support. He is now 2 years old and has recently become very sick. He has been diagnosed with a mass in his chest which is pushing on his lungs and heart. He also has pneumonia and is in the veterinary hospital for treatment. The estimated costs for King to receive surgery are in the tens of thousands, right now they need to treat his pneumonia first and his expenses are already at $6000. They are not sure King will survive this and are waiting on test results. Obviously the family are heartbroken and Kirstin is beside herself at the thought of losing her companion. Anything raised will go to Kirstin so she can pay the vet fees already incurred. Thank you!
