We’re Debbie & Paul Bailey, from Staffordshire, now living in Southern Spain

You may have seen us featured on Channel 4’s A New Life In The Sun. We are absolutely blown away with the amount of messages of support we have received since and the number of people offering to help us. We are truly humbled  

So many of you have asked us to set up a Go Fund Me page as you want to help. So uncomfortably on our behalf, here we are...

We moved here in February 2020 to open a Boutique B&B, however our dreams were shattered within weeks of arriving, due to a house fire and an unknown extensive termite issue rendering our home structurally unsafe 

We could write a book on what has happened to us, but we’ve tried our best to stay positive and determined throughout 

The fact is, our renovation budget has increased from 50,000€ to in excess of 150,000€ and we’ve wiped ourselves out with paying a mortgage, rent, living costs and fees

We have built a side business which has kept us ticking over, however spiralling costs have forced us to start living off credit cards and the amount we need to save is overwhelming

We know this is a ridiculous mountain to climb but we’re here and doing our best to make our dream work

As we say, we feel incredibly uncomfortable doing this and are truly grateful for any little help you feel you can give
