Dear Friends of Patriots Pub and Grill,
As we enter the newest phase of restrictions due to COVID-19, small and large businesses are really feeling the effects. One particular workforce taking a huge hit is the restaurant industry. With gatherings limited to 10 people, and non-essential businesses being told to shut down, restaurants are finding it hard to stay afloat. Unfortunately, this was not something anyone had prepared for and workers are now trying to find alternative means to keeping the doors open long term as well as make it through themselves.
For a place like Patriots Pub and Grill; a Fairfax City favorite to most of us, it would be a travesty to see it go under. This restaurant is not just somewhere we go for good food and drinks, but somewhere we all gather as friends, neighbors, and to celebrate with our families. The feeling we get when we walk in is so welcoming and something I look forward to week after week. Whether it’s your first time in Patriots or your 100th time, the staff, servers, cooks and bartenders have always made it feel like home. When talking to coworkers and friends, I often relate Patriots to the television show Cheers, “Where Everybody Knows Your Name”.
Patriots has made the decision to close the doors for the next few weeks as advised by the CDC and Virginia Governor. In an attempt to help the outstanding staff, who we all call our friends at Patriots Pub and Grill; who work so hard to make sure we are taken care of day in and day out, I’ve put together this Go Fund Me page. These funds will go directly to the staff and business to help those in need during this unprecedented time.
I know we are all hurting, but please consider generously giving a little if you can!
