Help Patricia Keep Her Health Insurance

My courageous Mother in Law, Patricia (Patti) Turman, also lovingly know by her 12 grandchildren as "Nana", needs our prayers. In June 2017, Patti received the heartbreaking news that she had colon cancer. It's been a long road for her since receiving this devastating news, but through it all, Patti has remained strong and continued the fight of her life with a positive attitude and her head held high.



Patti has had to undergo numerous major surgeries over the past couple of years. She began her treatment with surgery on July 3rd, 2017 to remove part of her small intestine.  This was followed by chemo treatments. Things were looking up for her and she was in remission. A few months later, the doctors spotted cancer again, this time in her lungs.  Patti had surgery on April 21, 2018 and doctors removed the lower lobe of her right lung and did two web resections.   After spending most of 2018 unable to work and on disability, Patti had to leave her job of 15 years in November. She continued to be upbeat and put this cancer behind her.



2019 has proven to be an especially difficult year.  Patti started another round of debilitating chemo treatments on Jan 4th.   New scans following her lung removal showed that this nasty cancer had moved to her ovaries. Another surgery was done to remove her ovaries in July 2019. Unfortunately, her body is still fighting to recover from this major surgery. She has been in and out of the hospital with complications and is currently back receiving chemo treatments every other week to try and attack the cancer that is now being spotted in her abdominal wall.  Patti is in constant pain and struggles to eat even the smallest portions of food. 


As devastated as we all are, we continue to pray for Patti, her doctors, and most of all her health. We have faith that she will rid her body of this evil disease and soon be able to put these debilitating years behind her.


Patti needs our assistance. In addition to prayers, Patti is in need of financial support. She currently has no income and will not be able to go back to work any time soon. She must pay $2,600.00 a month to keep her health insurance. With her savings quickly dwindling, we are all in fear of what may happen if she loses that insurance. It is imperative that she keep this health insurance so that she does not lose her doctors that have spent so much time studying her and doing the best they can to cure her.
Without health insurance, Patti is at risk of losing all of this care that she desperately needs.

Please consider donating any amount you can as every little bit will greatly help this amazing woman that we all love so much.  Most of all, we request you to add her and the rest of her family to your prayer lists.  Please lift her up in prayer, that she continue to heal and rid her body of this terrible demon that cancer is.
