Pat suffered a brain aneurysm which led to a stroke on February 19th. Doctors performed brain surgery, and he has been in the ICU since then.
While Pat has made great strides toward recovery in the first week, he still has a long way to go. He has gone from no movement or feeling in his left side to some movement, although he is unable to stand on his own. We are fortunate that Pat is able to speak, but he currently cannot eat or drink.
We are extremely hopeful for a complete recovery, but this will take time and significant resources, including extensive physical, speech and occupational therapy once Pat is released from the hospital.
At this time, Pat is without health insurance. We are working to get him coverage, but he needs your help.
Any amount would be appreciated as we work to help keep up Pat's apartment, utilities and impending medical expenses.
