For the last five years, Patrick has been my constant companion, my teammate, my hero, and my best friend. After 30 years, I had found a puzzle piece that I didn't even know was missing. He and I shared views on things as small as what color is the best color, to the big things like both wanting a big family. We have a home on 2 acres of land that has a stream running through it, with two wonderful dogs, a cat and a bunny.
In the winter of 2015 Pat and I were so thrilled to find I was pregnant! We were devestated to find, at the 12 week ultrasound, that I had had a miscarriage.
In the three years following we have tracked temperature and ovulation, timed things down to the moment, and seen doctor after doctor. Sadly, I have not been able to get pregnant again despite there being nothing found so far that is medically wrong.
This October I turn 35, and while I am perfectly healthy, certain treatments will be less successful the longer we wait. The next step is intrauterine insemnation, and unfortunately fertility treatments are not covered by my insurance.
Anyone who meets us knows immediately how much we love children. It's a running joke that I steal every baby at a gathering. We are patient, loving people with a love of nature and the outdoors. Pat's 14 year old daughter is a wonderful, amazing girl, who would love brothers and sisters.
Every month that ticks by, every period that is late, it gets harder to stay positive, but Pat is my rock. We're not ready to give up yet, and we hope that, with your help, we can have the child we pray for.
