Help Parents Into Assisted Living

My Dad has been in the hospital for 3 weeks with an infection and now receiving cancer treatment for a leukemia. My Mom is in a wheel chair with limited use of her arms and hands due to arthritis. My Dad was taking care of my Mom and is now no longer able to do so. We moved my Mom into our living room temporarily to care for her but we do not have a bedroom, bathroom or the resources to care for her needs. My parents need a place to stay where they can be cared for. I am trying to get them into assisted living as soon as possible but they still have to pay bills this month on their old place, utilities, debt etc. They have a small income and no assets. I am trying to get financial assistance for the Veteran's Office because my Dad is a Vietnam Vet but my parents have to already be in assisted living to get the financial assistance and it can take a couple months to be approved. To get them into assisted living there are initial community fees and they will likely have to pay for the first two months of rent/care without financial help. I do not have the money to help them.  I am desperate to find the funding to get them into a assisted living by the end of the month. My Mom and Dad will have a place to be cared for when he gets out of the hospital. We have an assisted living facility that will accept them but just need the funds to get them in.  If you find it in your heart to donate it would be greatly appreciated by myself and my parents.
