<div>So there I was living my best life when I started feeling a hoarseness in my voice. I thought ‘no biggie it will go away’. And it did for a while…then BAM 6 months later I’m having trouble with my throat but daily and whenever I eat. It felt like something stuck in there but clearing my throat didn’t feel right. So 6 weeks ago I got a CT scan and surprise there is a mass pushing on my voice box. Throat cancer is tricky and not very common when you are not a smoker but the fight is on and I need some help. My work unfortunately doesn’t cover short term disability so I’m going to be using every sick and vacation day to get my treatments but will run out of that pretty quick. It’s also a 3 hour roundtrip to the hospital in Downtown Toronto so these are the immediate challenges in the next weeks and months. The first thing I hear when I let people know of my situation is ‘what can I do to help?’ In my case I am allergic to most flowers and food baskets are going to be hard to eat so that’s why this page is so important to me and you. Any donation is going to be helping me keep out of debt as the biggest stress next to having cancer is financial worries.
