Help Paige with Calliope's surgery costs

Hi, I am Paige's mom, Julia.
Paige's mini-dachshund, Calliope, is a Mama's girl (and Nana's girl, but don't tell Paige). A few days ago, Calliope was whimpering and grunting when trying to walk. She wouldn't go downstairs, and her legs were weak. Paige took her to the vet the very next day. The vet took X-rays and said there was one calcified disc in Calliope's back and 2 more on the way. The vet prescribed pain meds, muscle relaxers, and crate rest. Paige diligently followed the vet's instructions and ensured very little walking (for potty time). Calliope's hind legs were limp/lame by the following day. Paige took her to the emergency vet that evening and $6000 later, Calliope is in surgery as I am writing this. Even if she doesn't walk again unassisted, the surgery will fix her pain - she's only 4 years old and less than 10 lbs. Paige is beside herself but trying to see & care for her clients' animals the best she can. Paige still has to pay the balance when she picks up Calliope, and there's no telling what additional expenses or missed income Paige will have in the coming weeks or months as she navigates this new normal.
We are asking for help since this is such a huge expense and there was only a 20% chance of this happening with the breed (mini; 12.5% with standard doxies). We love Calliope so much and want to have her for as long as we are privileged to. Thanks for reading and thanks for considering. Asking for help is not easy. Please email if you have any questions.
PLEASE find it in your heart to give any amount to help with this difficult and costly situation.
More info - Paige is a dedicated pet mom and entrepreneur, sole owner-operator of Whiskey Shears (pet-sitting, dog walking, and house-call grooming). Paige has been working with animals - dogs, cats, chickens, sheep, goats, pigs, and horses, etc. - since she was 18 (9 years). We adopted our first family dog when Paige was 13 - a Pomeranian mix, Hershey. Then, we rescued a beagle-dachshund, Athena, when Paige was 15. Paige bought herself a mini-dachshund, Calliope (pictured), four years ago. And, about 18 months later, she and I drove 13 hours round-trip to Ohio to pick up Whiskey, her Australian Shepherd, in January 2022. While Paige loves her 3 dogs; she has added a cat, Goose, and 3 guinea pigs (whose names I have forgotten - they're most recent new additions). Paige loves and lives for her animals the way most parents are with their human children. She makes sure they are fed but not overweight, with soooo many toys, chews, and healthy treats to supplement their food. Paige has even made homemade dog food and dog treats from time to time. She is always reading and researching about good stuff so her dogs, and yours, live long and healthy. She did the same when she learned about grooming. She loves all the breeds and has worked with many over the years.
