Update. I’m healing but still on pain meds. Tubes are all gone and I’m trying to continue with breathing treatments to strengthen my right side of my diaphragm. It’s slow going and sometimes still very painful. But I’m working at it.

Sitting upright for longer than an hour or standing for longer than 5 minutes is still a struggle. I currently have to use a walker to wait in any lines, or to go to the store. That’s frustrating for me!!

God has a plan. I know he does. I’ll survive this! Thank you to everyone that is giving me emotional and mental and physical support! And financial help through donations here.

Donations so far have bought my groceries and paid my co-pays for my medications. Thank you to those that have donated!!! I appreciate all of you!!

I still have a long way to go. I have applied for medical disability. I’ve heard the horror stories. However, that’s the direction I need to go at this point due to the long road ahead of me.

Hi everyone.

As you know from previous posts, I’ve recently had a major surgery in my chest cavity. The tumor that I had was intertwined with my diaphragm and included the phrenic nerve.Therefore, I lost the entire left side of my diaphragm and the phrenic nerve could not be repaired or saved.

I am 90% bed bound right now due to breathing and mobility restrictions after surgery.It’s gonna talk about 8 weeks to heal enough to drive, or even try to get back to work.

Meanwhile, I haven’t worked since January and was collecting Unemployment which has stopped 3 weeks ago.

I’m extremely embarrassed and distraught to say that I need this kind of help. (I’m usually the one helping others.) I am so far behind, that now I need to ask for monetary help.

I’ve gone to a few churches, I’ve gone to about nine different other “resources” - all of whom cannot help me until two months down the road. (By that time, I will be homeless.)

My pride can’t be in the way of trying to pay my bills and live. Soooooo, if anyone can pitch in a dollar or two to help me out, I’d greatly appreciate your help.

When I’m in a better position, I’ll pay everyone back. But it’s gonna take a bit of time.
