Hey everyone, many of you have heard, but some don’t know, I was in a very serious bicycle accident on July 18th on our island. I was riding my bike and was struck by a vehicle and suffered life-changing injuries. I fractured my neck and broke my tibia and fractured my fibula. Honestly, I’m just so grateful to still be alive. For 2 months, I was only getting around with a walker and an electric wheelchair. Kim has bent over backwards to help me and take me to all my doctor appointments and sacrificed so many things to help keep us afloat. I have been reluctant to start a GoFundMe, but at this point, I’m not sure how else to get back to being afloat on bills. After months of intensive physical therapy and a couple of surgeries, I am finally starting to slowly work again. The healing process has and will continue to be long and difficult, and the road to recovery will include intensive physical therapies and rehabilitation for my knee and shin. Thankfully, I am walking on my own again (still in a knee brace), but after 4 months, I will take it. Medical bills are mounting, and everyday expenses are becoming increasingly difficult to manage with the loss of our 2nd income for months. Anything anyone can donate will relieve the financial hardship and burden we’ve been under and is greatly appreciated. We are so grateful to be on this island and a part of this community.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness and support! Happy Holidays ❤️
