<div>Hey everyone! As many of you know, about 8 years ago, I went through a bad brain injury. The medical field was no help and just continued trying to add more medications. I have spent this time learning about TBIs and unfortunately ended up having to navigate this myself with very little help. Brain injuries are invisible and it is not only impossible for me at times, but also for those around me.

<div>I am learning there are so many ways to heal the brain and ultra-running was mine. After becoming very allergic to almost all foods and many environments, it has taken this long and traveling out west to understand the continued healing I need for my brain in the dry climate. It has also taken years to get my stomach to a place where I’m actually absorbing the nutrients and holding the food in. This process has been so hard and scary for myself and family.

<div>We have run out of resources and I have not much of a choice but to head out west and live out of my car for a bit. I feel I have the grit to take this really far as an ultra-runner and I need to keep healing. I want to keep telling my story and be able to get my name out from running to do so. A lot of us need help and I’m confident I can fight through people’s BS and actually help create change.

<div>I do feel more comfortable knowing I’m training as big and as legit as the pros, while putting in just as much work, if not more! This will turn the tides eventually!
