Help out Sergio

Sergio is a Spanish teacher in Granada, Nicaragua.

Due to the present political problems in Nicaragua, very few Spanish students are currently coming to Nicaragua.
Sergio would like to buy some land and build a small house, so that his family, his wife, Karen, and sons Sergito, and Gadriel would have their home and not have to pay ever rising rents. 
Any help you could offer would be gratefully received.

PLEASE NOTE...
As we are using a Canadian bank to collect funds, all monies donated are in CAN dollars.
we had assumed that if the money came from the US, it would come in US dollars. 
However that is not the way it works!!
so if you wanted to donate $100 US, unfortunately, Sergio will only receive $75 US ( approx)
so sorry for this misunderstanding, and thanks to those who have upped their donation, to the amount they intended to donate...
