Help Our Sweet Niy Pie Beat Cancer

Donation protected

Dear Family, Friends and Community,
This GoFundMe has been created to support our sweet Aniyah Monet Williams “Niy Pie” in her journey to return to her spunky, beautiful-spirited, dance-a-holic, self. But we need your help!
Aniyah is 12 years old and was diagnosed with a rare form of childhood liver cancer, Hepatoblastoma in September of 2021 at the age of 11. If you know Aniyah’s mom, Angela, you know the many challenges she has been faced with since the diagnosis. We are calling on you as they are in need of our help and support.
On September 3, 2021, Aniyah was admitted to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, MO. She suddenly lost the ability to eat while experiencing immense pain and her abdominal section was rock hard which left her nearly debilitated. After a few long days consisting of labs, CT scans, a biopsy and surgery, physicians discovered a large tumor measuring 21 CM (the size of a newborn baby), on her liver. There were also spots revealed that had traveled to her lungs. On September 6, 2021, a Children’s Mercy liver oncologist delivered the life changing news and official diagnosis of the rare pediatric cancer, Hepatoblastoma. Approximately 100 children are diagnosed with this form of cancer each year in the US.
As overwhelming as Aniyah’s diagnosis is, we believe that with proper care partnered with our strong faith, she WILL recover. We’re currently exhausting all possible efforts to ensure Aniyah has the best and most effective treatment to aide in her recovery and will continue to do whatever it takes until she is healed.
Because of the complicated nature of her tumor’s location, Aniyah needs immediate CAR-T cell treatment at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, Texas, a hospital specializing in Hepatoblastoma treatment. Aniyah will need treatment to remove all of the small cancer spots that have traveled to her lungs. She will then undergo a complicated liver transplant surgery. Unfortunately, insurance has only covered a fraction of their medical expenses.
Aniyah’s ongoing fight has prohibited Angela, a real estate professional and single mother, from working. Between travel, lodging accommodations, and the inability to work while trying to remain as comfortable as possible, they are needing all of the assistance they can receive. All funds collected from this effort will go towards expenses not covered by insurance and essential living expenses until Angela can begin working again.
It’s been a long and trying road to recovery for Niy Pie. There have been setbacks and tribulations, but her resilience and unwavering strength, have left us no option but to remain optimistic. We know this because Niy is a natural-born fighter! Born premature, she came into this world fighting for her life and has continued with the same courageous fighter-spirit today.
If you’ve had the pleasure of meeting Niy you would see that her battle with cancer hasn’t stopped her from lighting up any room she enters with her infectious smile, loving spirit, and a splash of sass.

It will take a village! So if you’re able, we ask that you please contribute. Any amount will be deeply appreciated!
