Help our sweet Ho'kee

My name is Jeannie and these are my two pitbulls, Jezzi(right) is 8 and Ho'kee(left) is 4. These two are the most amazing dogs and our family has enjoyed every minute with them.  Jezzi is so laid back and loves to sleep, while Ho'kee is rambunctious and extremely energetic. Unfortunately, Ho'kee, with all his running, jumping, and climbing, had an injury to his back about 3 months ago. Our vet has determined that he has a ruptured disk in his back and has had him on prednisone. It does help, but he needs surgery. He has lost alot of muscle mass in his hind end and struggles to walk. We are at the point that if he does not have the surgery very soon, well will have to put him down. Surgery will be done at UGA .
