I coteach all subjects in grade three to 26 beautiful multi-level students. There is a mix of students ranging from emotional and academic disabilities, to those that need to be challenged. We have high expectations for our students and believe they deserve the best education possible!
Using a workshop approach, we engage our students in a variety of lessons and projects.
Our school funds LIMITED supplies such as math and some reading texts, copy paper and minimal miscellaneous supplies. We want to give our students THE BEST education possible and expose them to incredible teaching moments. Your help will be greatly appreciated! Our students are very enthusiastic and excited about being great learners. They want to be readers, writers, mathematicians, scientists, historians, artists, musicians etc... who THINK about their learning. Your donation will greatly enhance this opportunity for them. Your help will ensure that our students will receive the materials they need to support their learning. You will make it possible for them to have outstanding equal access to powerful lessons and academic experiences. Please help! We realize that this is an extremely large request for our classroom. Please know that IT WILL make an ENORMOUS impact on our students for years to come.
As the new school year approaches, we are in need of some materials that we simply cannot afford. My students need three MAC desktop computers, speakers for iPod listening center, 18 headphones, weighted vests to provide therapeutic support colored paper, crayons, markers, and colored pencils. We also need multiple copies of books so we can do close reads, which are an intregal part of our literacy instruction.
We have a range of children who are performing at a kindergarten level to those that are on a fifth grade level. Meeting the needs of this range is beyond difficult! These materials will allow us to do so. We cannot express enough how much these items are needed and how they will positively impact our students. They will increase engagement with more dynamic lessons and academic opportunities and will be put in the hands of our students so they can achieve to their highest potential.
