<div>Hello, kind-hearted people,
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My name is Leyla Akhundova, and I am the founder of Baku Animal Rescue Society (BARS). Established in 2010 in Baku, Azerbaijan, BARS has been dedicated to saving the lives of stray and neglected animals. In 2019, we registered our charity organization in the Netherlands and were granted public benefit organization status by the tax authorities.

<div><br />
</div>
<div>Our shelter is now facing a severe crisis. Recently, we were hit by a devastating flood that caused significant damage and losses. Our shelter was flooded by water coming down from the mountains, destroying many of our resources and infrastructure. We urgently need your help to reconstruct the shelter and ensure the safety and well-being of the animals in our care.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are currently home to 130 dogs and also feed numerous stray dogs that come to us for help. Our immediate needs include:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>	•	Medications: Treatments against fleas and ticks, deworming pills, and annual vaccinations, which are very expensive.
</div>
<div>	•	Food: We are in desperate need of dry food for the dogs.
</div>
<div>	•	Shelter Reconstruction: The flood has left us with a significant amount of damage to repair, including:
</div>
<div>	•	Rebuilding the road to the shelter with asphalt
</div>
<div>	•	Repairing and strengthening the dam and walls
</div>
<div>	•	Recovering kennels for dogs and the house for our workers
</div>
<div>	•	Changing the river’s direction to prevent future flooding
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
