Help our nephews keep their home.
Liam and Shauny are the bright and beautiful boys of Shaun and Courtney Kinney. Liam is 5 and Shauny is only 2. They live in a good country house in rural Virginia. Our sister Courtney and brother in- law Shaun will have to wait anxiously for the next thirty days while their dream home is auctioned off to the public.
It all started 2 years ago when Courtney was in a life changing automobile accident which happened only 3 months after they bought their house. She was on her way into work one night and as she slowed to a stop for tunnel construction, the under insured vehicle behind her traveling at 50mph slammed into her rear end sending her into the side of the tunnel. That night our sister broke her neck in two places, her lower back and was treated for a concussion. We are so very fortunate Courtney survived the accident. Although she was fortunate, she had no idea nor was she prepared for what was to come in the aftermath.
It's been two long years since the accident. Within the two years she has had 14 back injections and painful diagnostic tests, 2 neck surgeries with months and months of physical therapy. She is currently in pain management while pending a lower spine surgery.
My sister was a clinical microbiologist at her dream job that took her ten years and two degrees to accomplish. She lost her dream job and is still unable to work.
Unfortunately today Courtney still cannot pick up her children. She cannot use her right arm and is limited in almost everything she does.
I have watched her lose so much but she has Continued to stay positive through it all. Courtney is an amazing person and a wonderful mom. She is always willing to help someone in need by putting them first before herself. I can't believe such a horrible tragedy happened to such a great family.
With the medical bills piling up and Shaun being the only financial contributor, they are unable to stay afloat. Her family has lost so much already. Please help them save their home . Thank you for all you support and prayers!
