<div>We are in <strong>immediate</strong> <strong>need</strong> of financial help for our friend/neighbour John, a 76 year old senior.

<div>He recently lost his home due to a combination of bad health as well as the recent increase in mortgage rates/inflation.
</div>
<div>We are just trying to get him through the winter without becoming homeless. We hope the funds raised will give us time to figure out a long term plan and find any available government support.

<div>Due to his health issues, he needs a place that is not shared accomodations, but some type of self contained basement dwelling.
</div>

<div>We have got John in a temporary rental and his belongings stored in a garage. This will give us time to find a long term home that is affordable within John's limited budget.

<div>We are close to $3,000 of $12,000 we are aiming for to help him get through the winter and hopefully recover back to normal. John has slowly been recovering from a fall which caused his shoulder and wrist to be damaged.
