The bed and chair has arrived!! Rented for a month to start and ongoing as funds allow - funds provided by you! So, thank you all for your support so far - almost a third of the way to our goal!

Hi everyone,

Our mum recently had an accident that resulted in 2 fractured vertebrae. In addition to the fractures in her back, it also exacerbated her chronic conditions (ME/CFS). She currently has to spend most of her time in her bed, and the recovery period is predicted to be long (at least 3 months).

It has become clear that she desperately needs mobility aids, as even sitting up in bed is an extremely painful movement and is irritating the injury, hindering the healing process.

The plan is to rent mobility aids (an accessible bed, an accessible chair, and related expenses to support her through the healing process) until funding comes through, which is likely to take 3 months or more (if it comes through at all).

Even with our financial assistance, it's out of our collective capacity to afford these aids. So, we ask for those who would like to help to give what you can (if you can). Anything helps.
