This is our mother, Peggy. She's 69 years old, widowed, retired & a two time stroke survivor. She lives in a 46 year old single wide mobile home that sits on an acre of land. Her home & land are currently under a mortgage. Even though she's been making her mortgage payments, she's being threatened with a foreclosure. Please continue reading so we can explain the events that led up to this.

Several years ago, our parents started having financial difficulties & took on a mortgage. Our father was handling the mortgage payments until his sudden passing in 2017. While making funeral arrangements, we found our father didn't have a life insurance policy. Donations from family members & friends helped cover some cost of his funeral but, the bulk of it as well as remaining medical bills that weren't covered by his medical insurance was paid directly out of pocket. They didn't have much saved up so, after paying those off out of pocket, our mother was nearly broke. Ever since our father's passing, our mother's financial situation has barely been stable.

Our mother's only source of income is her social security check. It's not a very large amount she receives & the bulk of it is used to pay the mortgage payment. What she has left over is used to pay her other monthly bills, but groceries & purchase basic necessities. After is paid for and purchased, the next 30 days for her, financially speaking, is like trying to navigate a mine field hoping to make it safely to the other side.

We've been helping our mother as much as we can since our father's passing. Things were going okay until the Covid epidemic happened & messed people's lives up, including ours. We still help our mother when we're able to but, it's not as much as it was before.

We've started this GoFundMe to try & raise the money to pay our mother's mortgage completely off. After everything our mother has gone through since our father's passing, she truly deserves a blessing.

Our goal is to raise between $20,000 - $25,000 to completely pay off our mother's mortgage so she no longer has to worry about losing her home & property. The amount we're trying to raise would cover her entire mortgage including any additional charges that will most likely be added to the mortgage payoff. Should any money be left over after the mortgage is fully paid, the remaining money will be used to make much needed repairs/upgrades on our mother's 46 year old single wide mobile home.
