Help Our Little Girl Recover from a Medical Emergency

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your help and support for our sweet 4-year-old daughter. Yesterday, she suddenly started having seizures, and our whole world turned upside down.

It all started when I had to call 911 right at the start of her first seizure. We were rushed by ambulance to our local hospital, where things quickly escalated. It took the doctors 20 terrifying minutes to get her stable. Once she was stabilized, they decided to transfer her to UK Children’s Hospital, which is over two hours from home, to figure out what was happening.

Since being admitted, the doctors have run countless tests, including an MRI, a seizure brain test, and a spinal tap to check for meningitis. Despite all of this, they still aren’t sure what’s causing the seizures or the swelling in her brain. We’ve been told that we’ll need to stay at least two more days while they continue to monitor her and search for answers.

This has been a terrifying and exhausting time for our family. Being far from home and unable to work has added to the stress, and the medical expenses are quickly piling up. Between hospital bills, travel costs, and lost wages, we’re feeling overwhelmed.

Neurology mentioned that regardless of why, or deficits, we will still have to have ongoing monthly support.
