Chef Ronald Bernard

So as many as you know, and those of you who don't, our friend Ron Bernard has recently fallen on some hard times. As someone who has had diabetes most of his adult life, health issues have been a constant concern. Very recently he was taken into emergency surgery to amputate his left leg just below the knee... As someone who has already been a right leg amputee for 9 years, this surgery has been life changing. Being a double amputee of the legs will be a huge lifestyle adjustment. He will need to move into a new wheelchair accessible apartment, get a ramp, handicap fixtures, a new wheelchair; possibly electric, and also a hand driving implement for his car, considering he will not be able to use gas pedals. Along with all these newly need amenities, he will have a pile of hospital bills and will need another new prosthetic leg too.
I understand the end goal is large, but starting his life over will be extensive and expensive all together. So let's please rally together to help him along this journey and hopefully take a financial burden off his shoulders. Please understand it's not the size of the donation it's it's that you care enough to see him through this fight!

know him as Chef Ron Bernard, he was one of the most popular teachers at SCCC College, Ron's classes would fill up before any other classes, and if you could not get into his class most students would wait for the following semester to be in his class!
