John suffers from a genetic disorder called polycystic kidney disorder. This disease makes the kidneys develop cysts that eventually make the kidneys stop working. In 2010 he went into renal failure and was placed on dialysis. By the grace of God and his wife Tina was a match and donated a healthy kidney to him. So he had three kidneys total, his original two and her one. He had to have his two kidneys removed eventually but the surgeons said wait until they really started affecting him. In 2017 he had three different cysts burst which caused infection and excruciating pain. These last two months the kidneys had enlarged to the size if newborn babies and started to affect his blood pressure and different things. They rushed him into surgery to ensure he didn't have any further complications. On sept 11, 2018 he was bought in for surgery to remove both kidneys aka bilateral nephrectomy. The surgery was complicated and took longer than expected as the cysts on the kidneys kept bursting. He developed a multitude of complications from high blood pressure, lethargy and septic infection. After battling those issues he then developed an ileus which means his bowels were still sleeping. He was given a tube down his nose to his stomach to remove all bile and acid until his bowels wake up. Currently they may remove the tube in the next day or so and they think they are progressing nicely to get rid of the infection. He will be admitted for at least a few more days. When released he will have at least a 6 week recovery time frame. Tina has taken a leave without pay to help with his recovery for the time needed. He will also be out of work with no pay. The bills will pile up and they need all the help they can get. The Fiores, John and Tina help everyone at the drop of a hat and are some of the most generous and giving people. John runs to anyone to help with any issue. So lets be there for them now in there time of need. No amount is too small.
