Help our friend Aloysius get back on his feet

Our friend Mathias (Aloysius) MUKASA is the school principal of St Joseph's Primary near Ssaza in Masaka Uganda. Our Australian based charity, Uganda Kids, has been supporting many vulnerable kids in his school since 2010. He works tirelessly for those kids and his community also as a member of the Masaka Lions Club. He is also highly respected in his church.
On Monday 21 October he was in Kampala the capital which is 3 hours away, on school business. He was involved in a horrific accident when he was the passenger on a motorcycle taxi (boda boda) which was hit by a car.
The result was a shattered femur, and fractured tibia and fibula in the right leg.
Thankfully he was taken immediately to hospital and then refereed to an orthopedic specialist at Platinum Hospital.
Surgery was performed on Monday evening and he is now recovering after a stint in ICU having lost a significant amount of blood.
Thanks to the doctors, nurses and other staff at Platinum. We understand that the outcome could have been a lot worse.
Unfortunately he required a second surgery as x-rays showed that the first surgery had not been totally successful.
Now is time for him to heal and get back to work to look after the 800 students at his school. It's going to be a long process with more expense for rehabilitation and further medical treatment. Sadly there is minimal assistance available in the way of insurance or worker's compensation and he has been left with a bill equal to almost 2 year's salary.
