<div>This past fall, our lives were turned upside down when my husband, Jason, experienced a medical emergency. What we thought was a single pulmonary embolism turned out to be multiple. After months of testing and uncertainty, he was diagnosed with Chronic Thromboembolic Pulmonary Hypertension (CTEPH) — a rare, life-threatening condition that affects the lungs and heart.

<div>We’re now facing the next step: surgery that gives us real hope. It could reverse some of the damage and help Jason regain his strength — so he can focus on what matters most: watching our children grow up. But this surgery requires travel to a specialized center and comes with a long recovery period, during which Jason will remain out of work.

<div>Jason has been unable to work since the fall, and despite applying for disability and other support, we have yet to receive any assistance. On top of that, we’ve faced a lapse in insurance coverage and rapidly rising medical and household bills.

<div>As many of you know , just two months ago, I lost my father. This unexpected loss not only affected our  family emotionally, but it also led to the loss of my job and our second source of income, as I had to step away to manage family responsibilities and grieve.
