My name is Krista, and I am asking for help for my family after the Hawk fire turned our lives upside down. My father built both of our houses with his own hands. His home was his dream home and he had lived there for nearly 25 years. When the fire came through on Saturday we evacuated and my husband and I had to drive through the flames to get out of the neighborhood. We were able to get our cat out and save only a few possessions. The back of our house caught fire and our deck and garden are completely gone. Right now we still do not know the full extent of the damage to our home. My father lost his house and was only able to get a few possessions out.

 If our house is sound enough, my father will be staying with us while he tries to rebuild. These donations will help replace almost everything he owned and will also help my family repair our home and make it safe for all of us to live together. We are facing so much uncertainty, but we are doing our best to move forward one step at a time. Any help is deeply appreciated as we try to rebuild.
