<div>My brother-in-law’s family, his wife, and two sons, tragically lost their home in Altadena, California, on January 7th, 2025. Like so many thousands of homes and businesses in the Los Angeles area, it was completely destroyed in these devastating wildfires that are still burning. Along with losing all of their belongings, they also suffered the heartbreaking loss of their three beloved cats, Darla, Poufpouf, and Willy.

<div>This loss has shaken our family to the core. They’ve lost not just their home but the heart and warmth it held. They are now faced with starting over, while grieving alongside their entire community, much of it lost.

We know so many families have been impacted by these wildfires, and there are countless ways to help through different charities.
