I am the owner of a neighborhood cocktail bar in the East Village, a place that has become a beloved gathering spot for locals and industry friends alike. Our bar has always been a source of community, and we are grateful for the strong support we’ve received over the years.  Recently, we faced an unexpected crisis. On Sunday night, our main breaker exploded, causing extensive damage and forcing us to replace not only the breaker but two other panels as well. The repairs were costly and required us to close for three days. During that time, we had to throw out thousands of dollars in wasted product, and my staff missed out on work and income. The financial impact has been overwhelming, and we are struggling to recover from the debt and losses.
