Help our dad get a new chair!
Donation protected
It might seem silly to ask for help to get our dad a new chair, but his journey to this point has been a real struggle and we want to try and make life a little bit easier for him.
Ten years ago Alan had a stroke that changed his life. He's had multiple falls resulting in long-term injuries and challenges with walking, dressing, feeding and sleeping- pretty much everything is difficult. In 2020 he suffered a second major stroke which just added to the list of awful things he has to manage, including a new Dementia diagnosis. He utilizes a wheelchair full-time now, but it turns out sitting in a wheelchair all day is bad for his circulation. He has developed lymphedema (crazy swelling!) in both legs. His doctors are recommending a mechanical reclining chair to raise his legs and increase circulation.

This brings us to now: mechanical lift and recliner chairs are costly. Our dad turns 79 (!!!) in June and we would love to gift him a comfortable chair. Would you pitch in to help him get comfortable? Our dad is amazing. While is sucks to ask for financial help, we know that this will help us get closer to buying him a little well deserved comfort.
Thank you,
