Sanibel Captiva Chamber of Commerce -Rebuilding

On September 28th, Hurricane Ian wrecked our Sanibel Captiva islands and it's business community comprised largely of small businesses. We are resolved to rebuild and need your help. All funds will be used to help sustain the community of members of the Sanibel and Captiva Chamber of Commerce.

"To promote the prosperity of our members and preserve the quality of life in our Community"

The Sanibel & Captiva Islands Chamber of Commerce team is safe and accounted for, but nonetheless, this week has been an extremely difficult one.
Our organization was created to carry out the mission statement above, and we have lived and breathed it for 60 years.
Our business community has always been unique, made up largely of family-owned, small businesses that service our cherished residents and guests passionately, while working in concert with the Sanibel Plan to steward our barrier islands and protect the wildlife that makes our destination special.
It has been exactly one week today since Hurricane Ian greatly impacted the islands our businesses and residents call home, and today many of them, including me, returned to survey the damage and begin the rebuilding process. The mission of the chamber remains constant. It may have become more difficult to execute at this moment, but we’ve witnessed the resilience and heart of this community, and as a result, we are resolved to rebuild.
We would like to thank our first responders for risking their lives to complete search-and-rescue efforts swiftly, despite the many challenges. Thanks also to City of Sanibel council and staff for working tirelessly to help start the rebuilding process as quickly and collaborating with our county and state agencies to obtain resources wherever possible.
The chamber, too, is working with state and federal agencies to line up disaster funds and all available business resources to present to our business community as expediently as possible.
Your Chamber will continue to promote the prosperity of our members and protect the quality of our islands.

We are resolved to rebuild. We are #SanCapStrong.
