Help Our Brother Tim

Donation protected
Throughout history, firefighters have developed several traditions. Of these, I believe the one that stands out the most is the tradition of family. Firefighters do not consider the people that we work with to be coworkers, we consider them to be family. We eat together, live together, laugh together, and hurt together. We are, in fact, a family. And most importantly, we always come together when one of our brothers or sisters is in need, we do everything that we can to help ease their pain.
Today, I come in search of help for my brother, Tim Callahan. If you have ever met Tim, you know that he is one of a kind. He is kind, caring, hard working, and most importantly loving towards his family. He is also the guy that brings life to every event that he goes to. Tim is the type of guy that truly will do anything for you, regardless of how it will effect any plans that he had. Now it's our turn to be the person that Tim has taught us to be.

Recently, Tim found himself to be feeling quite sluggish doing normal daily activities. This went on for a little while before he decided to get checked out. Shortly after driving himself to the hospital, Tim's world was turned upside down. He was told that his heart was failing, and that he would be immediately transported to a cardiac care unit downtown. After several tests, findings, and opinions of baffled doctors, Tim finds himself fighting for the life he called normal just a few days ago.

Tim will continue to fight his way through this, but he will need our help. Tim went from working two jobs, one with the fire department and the other with the hospital (did I mention he is a hard worker) to none. This not only means that he will have much less income helping out with the bills around the house, but he now faces an unknown amount of medical procedures, appointments, operations, and other bills. We need to help our brother Tim. Tim does everything he can to provide a great life for his wife and his three boys, and we can not let this tough time inturupt that.

I ask that you please, donate what you can to help Tim and his family. Please also pass this message along to everyone that you know in hopes that we can meet or exceed our goal and keep Tim financially safe during his time of hardship. I also ask that you keep Tim and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

I thank each of you for your love and support for Tim Callahan, from the bottom of my heart.
