Help us to help. Our Boat crew Team in Dominican Republic Survive the Covid -19 Crisis 


My name is Claudia Bailon , and along with my husband Roy Ramon , we own Paradise Boat .  Over the past 3 years, we have dedicated our life to creating amazing memories for thousands of guests in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.  


We would like to express our gratitude to all of you who have come to Punta Cana and joined us on one of our Adventures and we hope you cherish those memories in these difficult times.

Many of you have become regular guests since our first tour together and have even recommended us to friends and family.    We cannot thank you enough for choosing us to host these treasured experiences.  You have become our extended family. 


Today our industry like so many, is suffering greatly. Due to travel restrictions, entire cities shutting down worldwide, and the temporary closing of the Dominican border, we have felt the brunt of this horrific economical impact. 


Our local  instructors, snorkelling guides, boat crew, chef and staff live and breath tourism.  They are passionate about what they do and Tourism is their life. We are blessed with one of the greatest professions one could hope for … but today we humbly ask for your help and support.

100% of your generous donations will go towards helping each one of our team members take care of their families in these incredibly tough economic times.  For most of our team members, tourism is all they know and they have no other way to provide for those they love.   Without the income they normally earn at this time, they are in survival mode now.

We are not located in an area where governement relief is offered.  Unfortunately, here in the Dominican Republic, there is no such thing as unemployment insurance and there certainly are no bailouts. The daily struggle that face each one of our team members is very real.  Most of them have larger extended families who also depend on the income their eldest sons can provide.   

Without the tips and income that would normally come from high season here, many will not be able to make ends meet.  It is not a question of “stuck home with my kids” it is truly a ¨how will I feed my kids today”.

Many of you have met our staff personally and shared great moments while you visited our beautiful island.  From line dancing on the boat to sipping a refreshing cocktail, they were the ones creating the moments that fill the story of your amazing vacation.

And now, like never before, they need your help. You can make a difference, your contribution can help aliviate some of the hardships they face. 

We care deeply about our staff.  We realize that they are the lifeblood of our buisness and that without them, there is no Paradise Boat .  Their wellbeing is of utmost importance to us and is our first priority.

Mi nombre es Claudia Bailon, y junto con mi esposo Roy Ramon, somos dueños de Paradise Boat. En los últimos 3 años, hemos dedicado nuestra vida a crear recuerdos increíbles para miles de huéspedes en Punta Cana, República Dominicana.

Nos gustaría expresar nuestra gratitud a todos los que han venido a Punta Cana y se unieron a nosotros en una de nuestras aventuras y esperamos que atesoren esos recuerdos,en estos tiempos difíciles.

Muchos de ustedes se han convertido en invitados habituales desde nuestra primera excursion juntos e incluso nos han recomendado a amigos y familiares. No podemos agradecerle lo suficiente por elegirnos para albergar estas atesoradas experiencias. Te has convertido en nuestra familia extendida.

Hoy nuestra industria, como tantas, está sufriendo mucho. Debido a las restricciones de viaje, el cierre de ciudades enteras en todo el mundo y el cierre temporal de la frontera dominicana, hemos sentido la peor parte de este terrible impacto económico.

Nuestros instructores,  guías de snorkel, tripulación de botes, chef y personal viven y respiran el turismo. Les apasiona lo que hacen y el turismo es su vida. Somos bendecidos con una de las mejores profesiones que uno podría esperar ... pero hoy le pedimos humildemente su ayuda y apoyo.

El 100% de sus generosas donaciones se destinarán a ayudar a cada uno de los miembros de nuestro equipo a cuidar a sus familias en estos tiempos económicos increíblemente difíciles. Para la mayoría de los miembros de nuestro equipo, el turismo es todo lo que saben y no tienen otra forma de proveer a sus seres queridos. Sin los ingresos que normalmente obtienen en este momento, ahora están en modo de supervivencia.

No estamos ubicados en un área donde se ofrezca ayuda gubernamental. Desafortunadamente, aquí en la República Dominicana, no existe el seguro de desempleo y ciertamente no hay rescates. La lucha diaria que enfrentan cada uno de los miembros de nuestro equipo es muy real. La mayoría de ellos tienen familias extensas más grandes que también dependen de los ingresos que sus hijos mayores pueden proporcionar. Sin los consejos e ingresos que normalmente vendrían de la temporada alta aquí, muchos no podrán llegar a fin de mes.
No es una cuestión de "quedarme en casa con mis hijos", es realmente un "cómo alimentaré a mis hijos hoy".

Muchos de ustedes conocieron a nuestro personal personalmente y compartieron grandes momentos mientras visitaban nuestra hermosa isla. Desde bailar en línea en el barco hasta tomar un refrescante cóctel, ellos fueron los que crearon los momentos que llenan la historia de sus increíbles vacaciones. Y ahora, como nunca antes, necesitan tu ayuda.

Puede marcar la diferencia, su contribución puede ayudar a aliviar algunas de las dificultades que enfrentan. Nos preocupamos profundamente por nuestro personal. Nos damos cuenta de que son el alma de nuestro negocio y que sin ellos, no hay Paradise Boat.

Su bienestar es de suma importancia para nosotros y es nuestra primera prioridad. Tenga la seguridad de que su contribución hará una diferencia en sus vidas y por eso estamos muy agradecidos.
