Help our beloved teacher, Mr.McCabe

There are two types of teachers in schools. There are those who have you read the textbook, give out homework, and then give you a test. On the other hand, you have the type of teacher who goes beyond the textbook and makes the average school day fun. Mr. McCabe definitely falls into this category. He was always connected to his students. He made science engaging by doing lab experiments including dissections. He rarely gave unnecessary homework and understood if you forgot to do an assignment. If there was a big project due, he would let us work on it during his class. Mr. McCabe played review games instead of reading pages and defining vocabulary.  I cannot tell you how many times something like this has occurred:
"What period do we have next"?
"We have science next."
"Yes!"
He showed us that the textbook is not everything. That is something that not many teachers do.

Mr. McCabe played a large part in the school community. He was in charge of stage crew for the Christmas and Spring Shows. He managed our science lab and set up the gym for special events, all while teaching science and religion in seventh grade. He always did more than what was needed or expected. Mr. McCabe was always very proud of his work.

Sadly, after a series of layoffs at our school, Mr. McCabe has lost his job of 37 years. Mr. McCabe started teaching at my school in September of 1980. Mr. McCabe lives alone. He also faces some health issues. So please, help me show Mr. McCabe that we are his family by supporting him financially. Any donation is gratefully accepted.
