Help Our Beloved Gigi During Chemo

Gigi was our son's nanny nine years ago, and she has been like family to us for all these years. She was diagnosed with stage three Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma last November, and is currently undergoing her third different chemo regimen, with the end goal of an autologous stem cell transplant (ASCT). She was able to continue her childcare work part-time through the first two chemo regimens, but the third has made her quite sick for days at a time, and she has been unable to work for several months. Gigi's devoted husband and son both work, but Gigi is the primary wage-earner in their family.  Her daughter is a junior at Humboldt State, and she also has an 18-month-old grandson.

Before YouCaring was incorporated into GoFundMe, we were able to raise several thousand dollars through generous friends and strangers. I am re-activating the page in hopes of raising more funds for Gigi as she faces the most difficult challenge of her life. If she is cleared for the stem cell transplant, she will need to be in the hospital for a full month, for high-dose chemotherapy, followed by the transplant.


Our kids had a yard sale and lemonade stand for Gigi a couple weekends ago, and they raised $500 for Gigi. Please help us raise more! She is truly one of the best humans out there, and we would appreciate any help you can offer.
