Hello Friends!
Jess (my fiancé) and I were blessed to be able to adopt young Athena this July, and she has added much joy to our lives. When we adopted her, we were informed she might have a torn ACL in one of her legs, and we were prepared to pay for that. Unfortunately, we found out from a recent vet visit that she has actually torn both ACLs in her back legs. For anyone who has met Athena, you know she loves to play and always wants attention, and we want to be able to give her the best opportunity to keep doing that.
For those who have not met Athena or have stumbled across this page, Athena is an Old English Bulldog Mix that was adopted from the Golden Valley Humane Society in Minnesota. She is all wrinkles and energy. She loves meeting new people and bonking her owners in the head with her toys. Just like other bulldogs, she is vocal and full of personality. While these surgeries are not urgent, Jess and I want to get her healthier sooner than later. As anyone who is lucky enough to have a bulldog for a pet knows, they are prone to injury and illness, so we want to make the best future for Athena possible.
We are asking for help to raise funds for the two surgeries she needs for her ACL repairs. Anything you can offer will help!
