On January 5, 2026, my uncle was detained by ICE on his way to work. Unmarked ICE cars blocked him in and took him away, leaving my aunt to face the harsh reality of managing everything on her own. My uncle has always been the main provider for their household, and now my aunt is struggling to make ends meet as she waits and hopes for him to receive bond.

 The sudden loss of income has made it difficult for my aunt to cover rent, bills, car insurance, and daily expenses. On top of that, the legal fees to secure a lawyer for my uncle are overwhelming. My aunt loves her husband deeply—they have been married since 2018, built a life together, and made this country their home. Their pets and their shared dreams are now threatened by this unexpected situation.
