Help Osiris become a Yoga Therapist

Greetings and Blessings to all of you reading & watching.
I am Osiris Booque, I am based in Los Angeles, CA and I dedicate the majority of my time teaching the Black Community the practice of Yoga. As some of you may know, during the revolution of 2020 I have had the great pleasure of teaching and hosting outdoor Yoga for Black Lives as a form of peaceful protest. This process has been so transformative to say the least but no matter what there is still much for me to learn.
This is why I am reaching out to you. It is with great pleasure that I have been invited to attend Phoenix Rising two year program. Phoenix Rising is a Yoga Therapy institution based in Vermont and the school has been kind enough to offer me their diversity scholarship. This is a scholarship offered to BIPOC who have demonstrated commitment, ability, drive and vision in the field of yoga, especially to those already working in diverse settings and communities.
I am grateful to announce that I need to raise $8,500. Fortunately, of the $17,000 tuition fee, they have offered me a %50 scholarship leaving us to raise $8,500 of the $17,000. This scholarship is important because we need more Black Male representation in the field of yoga. I have already completed their orientation process and have been in close communication with the founders. All of us believe that the tools I will gain from their school will end up being an immeasurable asset for the work that I am currently doing for the Black Community. With that, I invite you to contribute financially and help develop and deepen my professional skills so that I may become a Yoga Therapist by the spring of 2023.

I hope you find your self prosperous in reading this. I am Osiris Booque and n my 10 years as a Bhakti Yoga practitioner and 200 Hrs as a Certified Bhakti Instructor, I have centered my work around trauma and its subsequent effects on adult mental health, along with immigrant and first generation children’s physical and mental health via the CCSM. Currently, I am enrolled in Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapies two year Yoga Therapist Certification program. I believe that a Commitment to transparency nurtures a safe space for one to remember their authentic self. For this reason my practice is geared to invite everyone to take a break from the everyday distractions of the world and allow the-self to receive Universal Prosperity. As Manduka says, Yoga for everyone, Yoga for all. As an Artist and a Spiritual Equity Advisor my vehicles for change are Sound and Movement. All of my work is centered around Blackness / Multi-Racial identities and the intersectionality of wellness and representation within the medicinal community. Over the last decade I have collaborated with organizations including Pico Youth & Family Center, The Culture LP, Reach_LA, Santa Monica College, Bananas Network & the Santa Monica Community Housing Corporation.
