<div>Oscar has been part of our family for 10 years, ever since we rescued him as a kitten. He’s full of spunk and personality (he honestly thinks he’s a dog), tagging along on walks through the woods and keeping us company outside.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Sunday night, someone shot Oscar with a BB gun, breaking his leg and leaving the BB still lodged inside.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are sickened that anyone could do something so cruel. A police report has been filed, and the case is under investigation.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Oscar is currently home on pain medication, but he’s scheduled for surgery this Thursday to repair his leg and insert a plate. <strong>The costs have quickly added up:</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<ul>
<li>Emergency vet visit (X-rays, bloodwork, meds, etc.): $1,924.78
</li>
<li>Surgery deposit (due at drop-off): $4,500
</li>
<li>Remaining balance after surgery: $1,000–$1,500
</li>
</ul>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In total, we’re facing $7,000–$8,000 in veterinary expenses.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We’re doing everything we can to help him heal and get back to his mischievous, food-loving self. <strong>Any help, whether through a donation or simply sharing his story, is appreciated!</strong>
