Help Oryana's Family

Dear friends and people

this June Oryana Lia was five years old. Only two weeks later she had a terrible accident in France. After climbing on a basketball contruction she fell. We had to wait for 2 hours until a doctor arrived on site. She wasn't hurt outside except for a broken arm. She even talked another 90 minutes to us. Then she was transferred with the ambulance to a hospital where her condition got worse. After a life saving operation she was transferred in a stable condition to Paris Necker hospital. In this hospital again her condition worsened. Her brain got a lethal damage and she died from this two days later.

The situation for our family is very difficult. A lot of people helped us paying the funeral and other costs. But we still suffer from big amounts of money which are unpaid by any insurance: emergency health care abroad, transferring the body to Switzerland (partly covered), funeral and grave and the following costs concerning the posttraumatic stress disorder of the children (1.5 years and 7.5 years) and ourselves.

As a family we were sent to a therapy treatment in Ticino which we can't pay by ourselves. A lot of the costs (grief counseling, psychotherapy, art therapy etc.) are not covered by any insurance we have (Grund- und Zusatzversicherung)

We really hope to fundraise the money so we are able to cover the costs without other financial worries.
