Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh, (peace be upon you and God’s mercy and blessings),
To all my brothers, sisters, friends, family, whoever you may be, I would like for you to hear my story and join me to achieve my goal which will be for a very good cause.
As some of you might know if you know me personally, I lost my father to last stage Oesophageal cancer 13 years ago. Many of you will know, suffering, grieving & pain which continues years after the loss of a loved one can be detrimental to ones own health & very challenging to accept.
My father was a humble man, gentle, he was a kind and loving soul, many who were lucky to meet him understood he was funny, intelligent, generous, always smiling & lived to be known as absolutely comical. His purpose in life was to make everyone smile and laugh till the point we would almost be crying. Many of us as a family and his friends witnessed his passing in front of our eyes which caused him a lot of pain and suffering through battling with this terrible & horrific disease.
He did not receive any treatment, no radiotherapy no chemo, no transplant options, as it was found very last stage. My father was terminally ill, a hard-working, fit and healthy man was taken away so fast from us, it was painful to watch as a 14 year old teenage girl who idolised her dad. My summer holidays, that year was to watch my father, slowly get weaker, I watched his suffering, I couldn't leave his side, I couldn't hide my tears like many told me, I couldn't ignore what the round the clock nurses said, one day 'your father is dying..', my world was about to change forever & there was nothing myself, my family or anyone could do.
Alhumdulilah, sometimes the good souls are taken from us early & I pray all the time may he be at peace. Ameen.
Now, 13 years later after many trials, battles of my own I want and have wanted to do something in memory of him which will forever send him blessings inshallah. I want to do something that people will remember, something that where there is so much suffering in this world we can do something together to help, it's a charitable cause.
Reaching my goal finally & being able feel a little peace in my heart for my father, will benefit us all.
So, I thought long and hard how could I do something, well there is so much suffering, children are suffering, orphans are suffering, for basic things such as not having access to clean water.
If I could open one tap or one well in Kenya, third-world country where it could just help even just one family or one child have access to water then this is my mission.
I'll do my best to see this is seen through right till the end. Inshallah with support or not, Allah swt (god) is with me.
I'm asking for a little donation, which will be sent to my family who will physically arrange this & hopefully get it done. Many of you knew my father, your our family, your his friends, we can achieve this together.
You can remain anonymous, it can be as little as a pennies to a £1. I will add to this when I can.
But I ask can you join me to help me achieve this for my father?
I hope you can, if anyone wants or is worried that I will pocket from this etc, I can arrange proof that this donation will go to where it needs to be, after all this is for my father, it is my personal story. I know anyone who has suffered loss will understand.
I hope some will read this till the end, and understand how hard & difficult it has been for me to sit and write this the best way I can and then know everyone & anyone will read it.
Inshallah, I hope I can achieve this, it will be such an amazing feeling that after so many years I finally did something for my dad.
