Onyx's story began when he was abandoned by the only family he had ever known. Left behind at a boarding facility, he longingly waited for their return, but they never came back. Heartbroken and confused, Onyx found his way into our care at Bubbles Dog Rescue, where we vowed to give him the love and care he deserves.

<div>Upon arriving in a foster home, it became apparent that Onyx was facing physical challenges. His abnormal gait made even the simplest activities, like climbing stairs or taking short walks, painful and difficult for him. Determined to provide him with the best possible care, we took Onyx to the vet for X-rays, which led to a referral to an orthopedic specialist.

<div>After an extensive evaluation, the orthopedic specialist delivered the news: Onyx urgently needs a total hip replacement on his right side. This surgery is essential to alleviate his pain and restore his ability to walk and run with ease. However, the cost of the surgery and the subsequent follow-up visits is substantial, estimated at nearly $15,000.

<div>As a small rescue organization, we operate on a limited budget, primarily relying on the generosity of our community to support our mission.
