Help Omar Get Back To Buffalo

As many of you know, and have been asking about, our dear friend Omar was living alone  in Puerto Rico when the Category 4 Hurricane Maria hit, and destroyed the entire country. This hurricane has taken from him many of the things we take for granted every single day. He is without running water and electricity, and many of his belongings were ruined or destroyed. Omar has also lost his job, and only source of income because of this terrible hurricane.  His funds were already depleted due to the many days off of work from Hurricane Irma. Huminatarian aid has been very slow to get to the many people who need it because of the conditions of their roads. 

Omar has blessed so many of us time and time again with his comforting words, friendship, and ability to always make us smile. He is a very proud man, and would never ask anyone for financial help, but he needs our support now more than ever.  We are trying to raise enough funds to get him a flight out of Puerto Rico, back to Buffalo, and provide him the means to get back on his feet. Right now, there are thousands of people at the San Juan Airport waiting to fly out, and it will most likely take many weeks before he is able to leave.  The people who are able to leave are paying thousands of dollars for flights. Omar has no idea that we are even doing this for him, because all of the cell towers are down, and there is no Wi-Fi. The only money he has is what his Family is putting into his account, and he is only able to use that money if he can find somewhere that has electricity to use his debit card.

Of course we understand that not everyone will be able to contribute financially, but I know it would mean the world to Omar if you can share this so all of his friends know what we are doing, and also pray for his continued safety, and the safety of all the people in Puerto Rico.

To get this money to Omar as soon as possible, I have made his brother Yamil the beneficiary of this fund. All of the proceeds will go directly to his family so they can put into Omar's bank account immediately.
