May the peace, mercy, and blessings of God be upon you. I am your sister, a resident of Gaza. I once owned a modest apartment on the seventh floor, for which I paid $40,000. However, the building has now completely collapsed. From the very first day of the war, I was forced to flee. My family and I walked for two agonizing days, leaving everything behind. I could not even take my children's birth certificates. I have been displaced eight times and am currently living in central Gaza, renting a single room for 700 shekels ($193 USD).

Despite the difficult conditions we endure daily, I need medical treatment. Every three months, I require a mammogram due to a lump in my breast. I discovered this illness before the war, and my last scan was in April 2023. Each day, the lump grows larger, and more appear. I need to have a biopsy, but there are no functioning hospitals because of the war. We lost all our clothes and were displaced during the harsh winter. Now, my children need clothes for the summer, but everything is being sold at exorbitant prices due to price gouging. Our lives are filled with relentless challenges, and every day feels like a struggle for survival.

Our primary concern is the safety and well-being of our children. They deserve to grow up in an environment where they can thrive without the constant threat of violence.

We dream of a future where our children can experience the joys of childhood, attend school and attend it without fear, and sleep peacefully each night. To make this dream a reality, we urgently need to evacuate from our current situation and start afresh in a safer country.

I am reaching out to you with a heartfelt plea for assistance. Any support you can provide to help us evacuate and rebuild our lives would be an incredible gift to our family. We long for the chance to give our children the safe and happy upbringing they deserve -- like any other child in the world.
