Hello,

My name is Oluwaseun Ola-Keji, and I am an international student at Sam Houston State University. I recently graduated from an American public high school, and this is my first year in college. My dream is to become a music therapist, and I am in need of a lot of help.

Moving into the beginning of this year to this day, my family suffers a financial crisis that continues to affect us till the present circumstances. Nigeria, my birth country, suffered greatly from the increase in financial fraud from the national government. My father, who works in the country, ultimately struggles with employment due to a lack of clients for his architecture services. We soon became dependent on his savings, and bills became increasingly expensive for the rest of my family in the U.S. due to the exchange rates from Naira to dollar (₦1,650 to $1 as of current) being so high.

I solely rely on my father as he is the only one that supports me financially. My father has had difficulty finding client opportunities for his work and, as of current, has no income. This has led to none of my tuition fees for the past semester being paid, and I unfortunately am unable to enroll for the next semester.

I wish I had more avenues, but unfortunately, I am on an F-2 visa, meaning that I am dependent on my parent who is on an F-1 status. This status restricts me from being able to apply for loans, receive work-study, receive employment, and be full-time at university. I have no way of ensuring that I can enroll for the new semester.

I want to continue going after my dream, which is why I am asking for help today. Any amount you can give is more than enough, and I am extremely grateful. Also, please share this with someone you know that is able to help.
