Anyone who knows me knows how much my cat, Ollie, means to me. I got him when I was 16 years old, and he has been the true sunshine of my life for the past three years. Recently, Ollie was diagnosed with a horrible case of gingivostomatitis and stomatitis. This means Ollie has a painful oral disease and inflammation of his gums and oral tissues. The veterinarian suggested we go through with an oral surgery to remove all of Ollie's teeth. He has been given an antibiotic and steroids for the pain. Although after 2 weeks the medicine will wear off, causing the whole cycle of gingivostomatitis to begin again. If we do not go through with the surgery, the gingivostomatitis will cause him to never live life fully. He will not be able to clean his self, eat, or be his playful self. This cat is truly my baby, and I will do anything to make sure he is not in pain. In two weeks, he will need surgery, and I'm asking for all the help I can get. Any amount is greatly appreciated. <3
