Help Oliver's Twist Ride Out the Covid Closure

Donation protected
Did you hear? 2020 is awful!

But we're all in this together. As you likely know, the impact the coronavirus pandemic is having on local restaurants and bars is incalculable. While we're keeping our hopes high for a better summer and back-to-normal fall, the next couple of months are going to be impossible to weather without your help.

Oliver's Twist has been proud to serve our beloved Phinney Ridge community for 14 years, and we hope to do so for 14 more. Whether you're one of our many regulars or only recently paid us a visit for the very first time, we're grateful to have shared a drink and a laugh with each and every one of you. It's with that neighborly love that we humbly ask you to consider making a contribution to the livelihood of Oliver's Twist and to our wonderful staff, who face a tumultuous and uncertain road ahead. Your generous support will make the difference between whether we're able to flip the lights back on at the bar once we're allowed to reopen, and it'll keep us clothed and fed in the meantime. To show our (immense, indescribable, indefinite) gratitude, we'll gladly give you some sweet rewards:

Give any amount and you're invited to a private shindig to celebrate our reopening
Give $40 and get a handmade, signature Oliver's Twist ceramic popcorn bowl
Give $50 and get one order of our special-recipe, best-in-the-world, clinically addictive popcorn at no charge each time you come to the bar FOR LIFE
Give $100 and have your name – and favorite beverage – added to the prestigious Oliver's Twist "Who's Drinking What" cocktail board
Give $150 and join us for an exclusive cocktail-making class, complete with drinks and a bundle of our signature shrubs and tinctures for your bar cart at home
Give $250 and join us for a private Cambodian feast/bacchanalia prepared with love by Karuna's very talented family
Give $500 and we'll name a drink after you and put it on our menu, aka the most distinguished honor known to man
Give $1,000 and we'll bartend an all-inclusive private party – in your home or at the bar – for you and up to 20 of your closest friends

Your help during this trying time will mean more to us than you can imagine, and we'll forever owe you a debt of gratitude if you open your hearts to us. This lofty fundraising goal may seem ambitious – but what started off as a $20,000 goal to stay afloat through April has now been changed to $30,000 as the closure has been extended until May (and, frankly, this could go on for much longer than that). Here's a quick glimpse at some of the expenses you'll be helping us cover:

• Lost wages to staff: $10,000
• Rent, property taxes, federal taxes: $10,000
• Utilities: $1000
• Insurance: $1000
• Emergency cushion in case of extended closure: $8,000

Goal may change if closure extends past April. Should we raise an amount of money that ultimately proves to be in excess of the needs of Oliver's Twist, we'll donate the remainder to another coronavirus-related cause. We love and miss you all! See you on the other side. #SmallBusinessRelief.
