Help Oliver get treatment he needs

Oliver's a very friendly loving cat, absolutely loved by everyone, even the local children will knock and ask him to come to play, which he is most happy doing. He has a lovely character and in his two years of life has always appeared extremely healthy.
On Monday 20th August, Oliver and I were having what I thought was a lazy day, snuggled up in bed, I took him downstairs for my dinner and his which he scoffed down and then proceeded to try and pinch the other two cats. We then went back upstairs for more cuddles, It got pretty late and I realized Oliver had stayed with me practically all day, which isn't like him, he loves a cuddle but likes to go off and do his own thing throughout the day. I decided to take him downstairs to get him a drink and to see if he needed to go to the toilet, I sat in the living room with him on my lap, he jumped out of my lap and struggled with walk out the living room, it was almost like he was drunk or drugged up, he couldn't walk, he was wobbling all over the place. I immediately picked him up and carried him to his food and water bowls, he struggled to get any food in his mouth and when he did he struggled to even chew it, but wouldn't touch his water. His front legs started to slide apart causing him to lay on the floor, from that point he couldn't stand on his own let alone hold his head up. He was falling in and out of consciousness which caused him to jerk, his eyes were hugely dilated.
Realising there was something seriously wrong we took him to an emergency vet, their initial thought was that he had been poisoned. He was given fluids via a drip, but his condition did not improve, his body became lifeless. He then had a full blood count test, that revealed Oliver was extremely sick, his white blood cell count is dangerously low, without further costly tests, to find exactly what is wrong his life hangs in the balance.
