I would like to support this writer named Okty who needs a device.
Mutual aid will allow Okty to write her anarchist essays on a new tablet sent from the US to Jakarta, Indonesia, where Okty lives.
She is currently writing essays for The Anarchist Library SE Asia in her language and would like to get her English language essays published on TheAnarchistLibrary.org (English international site). To do this, Okty needs support from English-speakers overseas who would like to help her by editing her essays to prepare them for publication.
Okty is tech-savvy but lacks a device to type her essays and get the online help she needs in editing them, as she is currently living in a center for survivors of domestic abuse.
Can you chip in a couple of dollars toward me getting an unlocked 2021 tablet and sending it to Okty for her writing?
I will also want to send her money with it to get a Jakarta, Indonesia sim card, and to support the sim card monthly fee for a year, while she is living in transition housing. The sim card will allow Okty to make phone calls using the tablet as a mobile.
With the new tablet, Okty will have a camera and internet to participate in video calls such as with the Berkeley Anarchist Study Group (bastard.noblogs.org), where she can meet other writers, and IRC with North American anarchists who can help her to edit and publish her essays.
